Nope! Submit whatever you like.

Can I submit as a non-person of colour?
Kindred Spirits is dedicated to uplifting voices of colour, so we kindly ask that you send your work to another magazine on campus. We appreciate your support, though, and still encourage you to read the magazine.

I identify as mixed. Can I still submit my work?
Yes! If you identify as a person of colour in any way, we would love to hear from you.

Do I need to be a person of colour to attend your events?
We love the support from our non-person of colour friends, so you are welcome to our events and we encourage you to read the magazine!

Should I use the Oxford Comma?
YES. The team at Kindred Spirits are firm proponents of the Oxford comma. It just makes things clearer. (How come there are no magazines on campus named the Oxford Comma? )

A note...
*If you choose not to use the Oxford comma or our beloved em dash (for some unknown reason), please note that it will not reflect negatively on your submission. Maybe.
